My Generation Beauty Haul 2014

Benjabelle Brush Tree

Hello guys so today I wanted to talk about the brush trees that i bought from benjabelle. Last year during the holidays I bought the Original Brush Tree in the color black which i got it on sale for $24.99 usd. And I recently bought the Mini Brush Tree also in black which i got for $20 usd. The brush tree has silicon grips that holds your brush in place when drying your brushes, whether its your paint brushes or makeup brushes. So what you do is you insert brushes from below through the silicon grip, place brush tree in a ventilated area, once they're dry you pull brushes through the top, and there you go nice and simple.

Original Brush Tree

This brush tree holds 14 large brushes but honestly it can hold variety of sizes as you can see in the picture down below.

because of the large holes you can place 2-3 thin brushes in one hole.

Mini Brush Tree

This brush tree holds 24 thinner brushes like eye and lip makeup brushes.

I really think these brush trees are a awesome thing to have or to gift to someone. I like that its easy to assemble and easy to store when not using. Plus when drying your brushes vertically you protect your brushes from water getting into the handle which can ruin your brushes over time. Oh and did i mention you can also get the brush tree in the color white or pink.

Wet n Wild Spring Forward Eyeshadow Palettes

Hello guys, so the other day I bought the new wet n wild eyeshadow palettes from CVS for $5 each usd. These palettes are from there spring forward collection. I really like the flower pattern on these new palettes, perfect look for spring. So wet n wild is known for there awesome eyeshadows, whether its there 3 eyeshadow color icon palettes or there 8 eyeshadow color icon  palettes. The eyeshadows are so pigmented and go on so smoothly, plus they're so affordable.

I really like the Nude Awakening palette, the eyeshadows are soft and so pigmented. I can totally use this palette everyday whether its a day look or a night look. Now for Going in the wild palette, the eyeshadows look beautiful in the pan but once swatched they were a bit powdery and not as pigmented as the Nude Awakening palette. When using this palette a sponge applicator work best for me to get a nice color pay off on my lid. Out of the two palettes the Nude Awakening is my favorite.

Review: Tarte Journey to Natural Beauty

Hey guys so like a month ago I bought a Tarte 6 piece collection from QVC and this is the Journey to Natural Beauty. This cost me around $71 usd, kinda pricey? not really because if you were to buy the products individually the total cost would be like over $100 usd. But since QVC offers easy payments that's how I was able to purchase this. I like it when makeup brands offer these type of collection sets, they're very convenient. Tarte is known for not using harsh chemicals on there products which is good for us the consumer. When bad packaging happends to a good product

Hey guys, i know that its been a while since my last blog post but sometimes life gets in the way and i apologize for that. After the holidays i bought this holiday set from bare minerals called A vision in velvet. Which is a set of 20 eye shadows, 10 velvet matte and 10 velvet satin. The original price for this was $79, i got it on sale i think for $49. I paid a total of $53.53 including sales tax with free shipping. Its reasonable for the amount of product your getting in this set. Now one thing that bother me and threw me off from this set was the packaging. Its a long stick thingy, as you can see in the picture. In my opinion this packaging is not functional for storing, it just takes up too much space. I don't know if you guys encounter the same problem but what i ended up doing was i bought this bead container from Ross for $5 bucks, i think you can get them at craft store.

As you can see a bead container can be a good option for storing this eye shadows, i can easily place this on my vanity or store it with my eye shadow palettes. Overall the eye shadows are amazing, they're soft and blendable when applying. This kit comes with a nice amount of neutral shades. love neutrals! Also bare minerals is known for not adding harsh chemicals to there products which i find that excellent.

Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips

Hey guys so lately I've been trying out a teeth whitening product, the Crest 3D White whitestrips and i wanted to share my thoughts about this product. This product is enamel safe and it comes with 20 whitening treatments, each with upper and lower strip. so what you do is apply the gel side strips to your top and lower teeth, used for 30 minutes, for 20 days and you'll see results in 3 days. Now for me after the third day of using the whitening strips my teeth became sensitive, so i stop using them. When i started using them again i only used them twice a week and by doing this my teeth sensitivity didn't persist. I'm not saying that this is what you should do if you have the same problem as i did but this is what worked for my teeth. Another thing i notice was that after removing the strips you can kinda feel the whitening gel on your teeth but i usually just spit it out. So after a week or so some whitening occur but nothing dramatic. After the second week i definitely notice more whitening happening. with that being said i would totally recommend these whitening strips. This product works but not only that this product got a Good Housekeeping seal which that's a plus for me. and remember "if you're not whitening, you're yellowing." in another note this product was complimentary from influenster.

Drugstore bb creams

Hey guys, so the other day while being at rite aide I came across some BB creams from Maybelline and Loreal. I bought them both to give them a try. From my understanding a BB cream is meant for the aide of healing the skin, its also suppose to have more coverage than a tinted moisturizer but not as heavy as a foundation. After trying out these BB creams I can say that neither work out for me.
